The AI prompt can give the LLM a lot of information. The better the prompt, the better the response from the LLM. One aspect of the prompt is the personality of the AI. By default, it seems that most AIs respond as a helpful and deferential assistant. (One glaring exception is GROK from the minds of the fine folks at X who decided that a funny/sarcastic AI is better.)
However, more and more AI aftermarket companies are looking to subtly tweak the personality of the LLM and thereby alter the response. Maybe you want a response that is more no-nonsense. Or a response more specifically for a younger audience. Whatever your requirement, you’ll need to tell the AI how to respond.
One response to that issue is Character Card V2. Character Card V2 is a specification to help you to define the character of your LLM. By standardizing how personalities (characters) are specified, it can help to move the industry forward and make it easier to compare and standardize LLM prompt manufacture.
